-› The 4th International Nepalese Thangka Art Exhibition by MCAF in Melbourne, Australia
Thangka Art Exhibition by MCAF in Melbourne,

MCAF exhibited around 250 Nepalese Traditional Thangka Paintings from 9th to 11th Nov. 2011 at Xavier College, Melbourne, Australia. It's been successfully exhibited by MCAF representative and Vice-President Jeevan Lama and was organized by Xavier College, Melbourne as to raise fund for MCAF charity. There were many supports from Nepalese Medias in Melbourne and Nepalese Association of Victoria.

On The Grand Opening evening the exhibition was formally inaugurated by the Father Tom Renshaw of Xavier College, in the presence of Mr. John Hacky, The Director of Xavier College, Mr. Bom Yonzon, The President of Nepalese Association of Victoria and many other Australian and Nepalese visitors. Father Tom Renshaw, Exhibition Coordinator Paul Burke and Jeevan Lama expressed their few words about the Art Exhibition and the MCAF charity.  All the visitors and the Organizing Team seem enjoying the art works and refreshments there. The refreshments and foods were served for free provided by the Exhibition Organizing Team. Almost all the visitors purchased Thangka Paintings and few people filled out the Child Sponsorship Forms to support child's education in Nepal.

The Exhibition went very well for next two days too. This was the great opportunity to introduce our Nepalese Traditional Paintings to the Australian as to raise fund for our charity. It was amazed to see the paintings by some people. They felt shock whether the art works is painted by hands. Nonetheless they believed it after briefing and looking at the videos of how the Paintings are done. Video of the activities of MCAF and how the Thangka paintings are done was shown on big monitor at the exhibition hall.  In this way the 4th international 'Nepalese Art Exhibition' by MCAF has flourished with great success due to the excellent effort and incredible contributions of Xavier College towards this charity event.

Solangture, and two Nepalese radios in Melbourne 'Melbourne Chautari' and 'Namaste Melbourne' played vital role in the promotion of the exhibition. MCAF would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to each and every individual for their enthusiastic supports to make this event successful.

Likewise MCAF Thangka paintings were exhibited again for the second time in Melbourne On 3rd Dec 2011 at 'Nepalese Charity Art Auction' as to support FEED Project fund raising program. The Program was organized by FEED Community Project Team to raise fund for their green house project at Phuongmoche School and Monastery in the northeastern Himalaya of Nepal. MCAF takes pleasure in supporting such a worthy charity.
